The Triple E Awards is ACEEU’s annual celebration of excellence in entrepreneurship and engagement in higher education. This year the awards will bring together 400+ participants from Europe, Africa, the Asia-Pacific region and the Americas to take part in a 4-day long event enriched with 100+ presentations, 10+ impact workshops, networking activities and much more. ACEEU's Triple E Awards will be part of the international conference on "Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities for Sustainable Development: Linking Education, Research and Innovation to achieve the SDGs and ESGs", organised in partnership with the Triple Helix Association and hosted at La Salle Campus Barcelona (Spain) on June 26-29, 2023. How can Design Education inspire drivers and enablers in Business and Entrepreneurial Education?
In this publication for ACEEU, Professor Dr. Kathryn Penaluna from the University of Wales Trinity Saint Davidexplains that the notion of "learning to be creative" from Design Education has the potential to fosters impactful drivers and enablers, such as creativity and innovative thinking, in business and entrepreneurial learnings. In addition, the author explains how by looking at Design Education´s pedagogies it is possible to identify several, but not always visible, connections with entrepreneurial learning in terms of teaching, learning and assessment. ACEEU brings VET students and educators in the creative world of Hackathons
ACEEU kicks-off 2023 with many new events!
We are excited to start the new year with a series of engaging events. The first on is the Hansa Hack that will take place at the Hansa-Berufskolleg Münster on January 26th. The mini-hackathon is an occasion to discuss topics such as inclusive entrepreneurship and e-service learning and to disseminate not just one but two great Erasmus+ projects, Creative Communities First and INDEED, by involving VET teachers and students in exploring new solutions to societal issues.

On 25th-26th May 2023, Lodz University of Technology will have the privilege of hosting the International Symposium on “Universities and Climate Change: The Contribution of Higher Education in Handling Climate Change”, organized by the International Climate Change Information and Research Programme (ICCIRP), the European School of Sustainability Science and Research (ESSSR), the Inter-University Sustainable Development Research Programme and the UK Consortium for Sustainability Research (UK-CSR). The event is organized in cooperation with the Baltic University Programme. Lodz University of Technology is now calling for abstracts (a 200 words outline of a paper and/or presentation, along with the names and full contact details of the authors), which should be sent until 30th January 2023 to the coordinating team at: iusdrp@ls.haw-hamburg.de. Full papers are due by 10th May 2023. Further details will be discussed with the authors whose abstracts have been accepted. As an output of the event, the book "The Contribution of Higher Education to Climate Change" will be produced with all accepted papers, and it will be published by Springer as part of the world´s leading, peer-reviewed book series on climate change management.
