BETTER LIFE PROJECT NOMINATED TO THE FALLING WALLS GLOBAL
ACEEU advancing Engaged Research for HEIs
Every year, Falling Walls invites leading academic and research actors to nominate the bright minds behind breakthroughs and outstanding projects that address global challenges and represent scientific knowledge in an innovative way. This is the exact field of action of the BETTER Life Project, fostering socially engaged research in early career researchers in the field of life sciences.
Socially Engaged Research is a strategic research approach that aims to involve diverse societal stakeholders in the research process. The primary goal of this approach is to improve the accountability, quality, relevance, and positive impact of research on society at regional, national, and international levels. This nomination is a clear sign of the relevance of socially engaged research in the contemporary modes of developing science. The project consortium is convinced of the strategic potential of enhancing socially engaged research to contribute to social development based on a sound scientific base.
Join us in celebrating the achievement of ACEEU accreditation
On June 27, as part of the 2023 ACEEU Stakeholders Forum, we will recognise institutions that have successfully completed the Entrepreneurial University and/or Engaged University accreditation process. This is an important milestone for universities committed to the third mission as they fulfil the 15 ACEEU standards and keep progressing on their path as entrepreneurial and/or engaged universities.
Hosted from 26 to 29 June, the Forum will also provide other opportunities to share, learn and network: best-practice presentations of accredited institutions, pitches of Triple E Awards finalists, workshops, tours to innovative places in Barcelona, and much more.
