ACEEU contributes to the development of community engagement in HEIs by implementing different EU-funded projects that inspire others to engage in similar efforts.
BETTER Life, Bringing Excellence to Transformative Engaged Research in Life Sciences through Integrated Digital Centres, supports Early Career Researchers in the life sciences to use Socially Engaged Research (SER) as a mean to address societal challenges. The project establishes a Digital Centre as a world leader in planning, supporting, and implementing SER.
DICE, Digital Community Engagement Accelerator for Student Learning and Socio-economic Impact, believes in the universities’ potential to enhance student learning and better support social development by moving university-community engagement into the digital space and promoting the third mission of universities.
Bridges by Mentors uses mentoring as a tool to promote civic engagement by fostering integration between local young people and international students, encouraging higher education institutions to work with the community, and focusing on the empowerment of all parties involved.
These initiatives showcase ACEEU's efforts to advance community engagement as a strategic vision of universities towards a better society.
