Graduating from universities to entrepreneurs has always been challenging. The Tampere University of Applied Sciences has been implementing a programme since 1999, of which 48.4% of 2021 graduates said they would continue or start as entrepreneurs. Their satisfaction with their studies is at the top-notch of their University of Applied Sciences - if not all of Finland.
This webinar explains how entrepreneurial studies are organized and how students jointly manage their co-founded businesses during their studies. Studies are based on collectively defined values that are vital to entrepreneurs: trust, courage, deeds, learning and success. The curriculum is also based on this value path.
The development of entrepreneurial competencies is ensured through team learning and supported by team coaching. Learning is based on doing. Do to learn.
Learning becomes profound when it mounds from work done in one's own company. The structure of the studies encourages you to start fast, experiment nimbly and learn from both mistakes and successes.
TAMK's model of entrepreneurial studies can even be said revolutionary. Learning takes centre stage. Students do the learning work. At the same time, a community is built to empower and allow support even after completion of the degree.
