Gdańsk University of Technology (GUT) has achieved a groundbreaking milestone, becoming Poland's first university to receive dual accreditation as both an Engaged University and an Entrepreneurial University by the Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities (ACEEU). This accomplishment sets a new standard for technical universities and highlights GUT’s leadership in advancing the "Third Mission" of higher education.

ACEEU evaluators commended GUT’s significant influence within the regional ecosystem, particularly as part of the Daniela Fahrenheit Union of Universities in Gdańsk. With this strong positioning, GUT is expected to generate substantial economic impact in the region. This vibrant entrepreneurial environment empowers the university community—students, staff, and alumni alike—to embrace entrepreneurship, solidifying GUT’s reputation as a leader in entrepreneurial education.
The university’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Strategy 2020-2030 has been key in fostering a shared understanding of the importance of entrepreneurship across the institution, aligning with GUT’s strategic goals. Furthermore, the Strategy for Promotion and Communication 2020-2025 ensures that the university's entrepreneurial vision is effectively communicated to all stakeholders. GUT continues to demonstrate a commitment to ongoing improvement through its 2020-2030 Implementation Plan, tracking progress with clear indicators and targets.
The rigorous accreditation process involved a four-phase evaluation, including self-assessment and a peer review visit, before GUT was officially awarded Entrepreneurial University status.
