ACEEU Chair Professor Thorsten Kliewe was invited by the Entrepreneurship Development in Higher Education (EDHE), in collaboration with Universities South Africa (USAf) and the Department Higher Education and Training (DHET) to speak at the 5th annual national EDHE Lekgotla.
The EDHE Lekgotla 2021 unites the education entrepreneurship community in South Africa, under the theme of entrepreneurship #againstallodds. The EDHE Lekgotla 2021 is intended to facilitate the sharing of good practices and emerging practices and initiatives in university entrepreneurship.
Prof. Dr. Thorsten Kliewe participated in the opening session on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at 09:00 - 10:00 (SAST). He presented the ACEEU mission, the essential characteristics of entrepreneurial universities, and the broad experience of ACEEU in accrediting entrepreneurial universities. Professor Kliewe noted in his welcoming remarks: “Entrepreneurship belongs in all faculties, schools, and departments. It is not just a topic for business schools. (…) We want everyone to have this entrepreneurial thinking and acting“. In the same session Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria: Norman Duncan presented the welcome remarks, and Professor Dimo Dimov from the University of Bath, presented about Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
