Project
Alliance for Community Engagement in European Higher Education
The ACE project is a catalyst for impactful change by creating a peer-to-peer learning alliance as a means to empower university staff to transform their engagement into a more effective and strategic course of action. The overall goal of the ACE project is to transform higher education systems by deepening and broadening the scope of their community engagement. The project also aims to enhance the role of higher education institutions (HEIs) in supporting societies across Europe and ‘ace’ the capacity of their staff to address societal challenges effectively, fostering a more inclusive and interconnected higher education system.
ACEEU's Role:
ACEEU plays a key role in the ACE project, contributing to all of the work packages. In WP1 (Project Management), ACEEU will lead the Quality Assurance (QA) efforts by implementing monitoring and evaluation strategies to ensure the successful execution and outcomes of the project. ACEEU will also co-lead the development of the Strategic Foresight Methodological Design and ACE Cross-Impact Workshops in WP2 (Strategic Foresight Analysis of University Community Engagement in Europe). In WP3 (Alliance for Community Engagement in European Higher Education (ACE) and its Platform), ACEEU will lead the establishment of the Alliance by developing a framework, recruiting members, and ensuring its successful launch. For WP4 (ACE Toolkit), ACEEU will contribute to the specification of criteria and requirements for the Toolkit and co-lead the development of the University-Community Partnership Pathway, as well as identifying instruments and best practices. In the last WP, WP5 (ACE Empowerment Training Program), ACEEU will use its expertise to provide feedback for the improvement of the ACE Empowerment Training Guide.
