Project
STArtup skills for Researchers and innovaTors in Entrepreneurship Development
The STARTED project will put in place a project-based learning approach for developing entrepreneurial skills (and spirit) in researchers, to foster interactions between stakeholders in R&D innovation, and to guide the transfer of innovative research projects through to becoming robust start-up opportunities. The mission is to teach more researchers how to create companies. This project will enable the setting up of a European Research-to-Start-up Centre (ERSC) supported by a shared web platform which will centralise ad hoc learning and training content and tools to create and support future entrepreneurs. The scope of dissemination in this project is far-reaching considering the imperative of national R&D bodies and the support of European start-up organisations.
ACEEU's Role: External evaluator and sustainability advisor (subcontractor)
ACEEU will serve as a subcontractor external assessor of the project. In this capacity, it will confirm that the project activities and outputs meet the standards and suggest changes and improvements to the main deliverables. Specifically, it will define evaluation criteria for the project’s outputs and assess them, conduct interviews and a survey of key stakeholders, and present an Assessment Report.
ACEEU will also design a STARTED Sustainability and Continuation Plan that will aim to ensure that the value created in the project is fully exploited and societal impacts are delivered. The plan will identify potentially exploitable outputs, evaluate their market potential, and offer at least three exploitation paths and business models.
