The project “Women Entrepreneurs in Regional Inclusive Entrepreneurial Ecosystems - WeRin” seeks to enhance the inclusivity of entrepreneurship education and support programmes to increase the share of female graduate entrepreneurs and improve their level of embeddedness in regional entrepreneurial ecosystems across Europe. For this purpose, the project has conducted a literature review and five regional scanning reports to set the scene on the status quo on the situation of women in diverse entrepreneurial ecosystems in Europe.
These reports are vital for understanding the current status, barriers, challenges and opportunities for inclusive entrepreneurship ecosystems. In these reports, diverse stakeholders will find the current research, horizon scanning, conclusions and recommendations on developing regional Inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystems and approaches to gender inclusivity. It is worth highlighting the future research direction section in the literature review, which offers a panorama on the knowledge gaps on women entrepreneurship. Additionally, all the regional scans conclude with useful recommendations on gender-inclusive practices.
All the produced reports are the documents already available on the website of the WeRin Project, in the resource section: https://werinproject.eu/resources/

The WeRin project proposes the development of activities leading to an extensive review of current entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurship support programs on a diverse set of indicators of inclusiveness, thus taking a holistic approach. Further, the project will present the best practices from across Europe. It will also contribute to redesigning programs through the implementation of the lessons learned and by actively involving the target group. Finally, the project aims at increasing the share of women entrepreneurs graduating from HEIs and becoming embedded in the (regional) entrepreneurial ecosystem.
