ACEEU has conducted the first round of the Focus Group on Sustainable Financial Literacy, targeting young people with disabilities, as ACEEU pursues to align the core of our accreditation business, values, and practices within the EU-funded projects with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN. Through the outcomes of the DisFinLit project, ACEEU aims to accomplish SDG Goal 4 by ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities.
After the first Focus Groups organisation of the DisFinLit partners, the second transnational project meeting took place in Rome, Italy. During our first meeting day, each partner briefly introduced their Focus Group results as some challenges arose with defining our target group and the learning material. The presentation summarised the template report that ACEEU developed and distributed to partners. As a result, partners could identify and work on the improvements for the remaining Focus Groups planned at the end of the year. Later, the host, EFFEBI, organised a dinner in a local Italian restaurant where partners could relax and enjoy quality time!
On the second day, ACEEU started with the presentation by revising the status of the first Intellectual Output of the project. Then, partners listened carefully to the material that has been created so far and what is left to accomplish and meet the objectives of the training curriculum development. During this presentation, ACEEU introduced the Analysis approach for the upcoming Focus Group sessions, as it will be helpful for partners to write the key takeaways and implement the SWOT elements. Moreover, ACEEU proposed to divide the learning unit modules among the partners, so each of them will emphasise the material within that unit and modify it with the Focus Groups accordingly. Finally, before our lunch, EURODIMENSIONS partner, leaders of the second Intellectual Output, introduced the upcoming steps as each partner will need to contact and create a community of stakeholders related to sustainable financial literacy. The consortium also began discussing the platform to upload the created materials throughout the project, including the compendium of good practices, the Focus Group Analysis, and the adjusted training curriculum for disabled youth. At the end of our meeting, the project coordinator IEF introduced the website of DisFinlit, where you can find the essential information about the project here!
