MyDigiCoop project aims at promoting social-cooperative entrepreneurship in HE by equipping HE professionals with innovative online tools and competencies to foster social-cooperative entrepreneurship among their students. One of the outputs of the project is the Manual for Teachers. The manual is developed as guidelines for educational professionals to foster social-cooperative entrepreneurship in Higher Education.
In order to improve and validate the manual, ACEEU organized a Focus Group with entrepreneurs and experts to discuss the accessibility and practicability of the Manual. One participant is an entrepreneur in Germany, he has 5 years of experience in entrepreneurship. He thinks the manual is very useful and practical for students to use. He mentioned that both topics of each module and the assignment to students are very pragmatic and interesting. Another participant who has several years of teaching experience also agrees. From future students’ prospective, this manual is useful, since the entrepreneurial skills are becoming more and more relevant in modern world, and having additional accessible tools to learn it besides getting a degree are more than welcome nowadays.
During the discussion, participants were highly engaged, several of them mentioned that both the creation of the platform and the development of the Manual for teachers will be a valuable tool for conducting lessons. A detailed guideline on the use of the platform will help every teacher, regardless of the level of understanding of new technologies, to cope with the use of the platform. The topics of each of the modules are fairly important in the modern world, that's why the relevance of this textbook is easily seen.
With all the feedback from entrepreneurs and experts in social cooperative entrepreneurship, ACEEU believes the Focus Group will benefit the improvement of the Manual for Teachers. Now ACEEU with other partners are working on the final validation of the manual. Let's stay tuned and look forward to the validated Manual for Teachers!
