As part of the Learning, Teacher and Training Activity for MyDigiCoop project, Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences hosted a three-day training from January 25th to 27th, 2023. The event was attended by three representatives from HUHEZI at Mondragon University, three from Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, as well as three professionals in the field of social entrepreneurship recruited by ACEEU.
The event was organised according to specific themes, with Day 1 focusing on "Introduction to Social Cooperative Entrepreneurship". Haaga-Helia presented their Start-Up School,a program that offered various courses,activities and events for students, entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs as an example of a form of social cooperative entrepreneurship.
Day 2's theme was "Sharing Best Practices". The day began with a business game activity led by ULBS, which aimed to discover entrepreneurship education learning goals and the learning process from an idea to establishing an entrepreneurial university. Following this, ACEEU's representatives, Christina and Sebastian Wulf, shared their experiences with the participants in co-founding their start-up company “Closd” as well as giving some insights on the German social entrepreneurial eco-system including local social impact hubs, and start-up accelerators in Muenster, Germany.
The theme for Day 3 was "Innovative Co-production", led by one of ACEEU's representatives, Viviana Rojas, the founder of Digital Mente. This workshop focused on effective digital communication for promoting social entrepreneurship. The training participants learned about the role of social media in promoting Social Entreprises (SE), identifying best practices and success stories in using social media for SE ventures, content marketing and creating engaging social media content for SE initiatives.
In conclusion, the training event in Helsinki provided a great opportunity for participants to learn about the social cooperative entrepreneurship model in different countries. The project and its consortium hope that this model will receive more recognition in the future as it is believed to be the way forward towards a sustainable society. Overall, the training event was a success in bringing together experts in the field of social entrepreneurship and facilitating knowledge exchange between different institutions.
