On January 14-15, 2023 the consortium of the project Nudging 360 convened a series of meetings at the premises of Trendhuis - the leader of the project.
The project aims at using nudge theory to foster HEI teachers to improve their digital skills and create more engaging content so that students have better learning experiences. The consortium discussed Work package on Ethical Council, as well as ways nudging theory can be operationalised for the purposes of fostering motivation to create digital content.
Nudge theory is a behavioral science concept that suggests small, subtle changes in the environment can influence people's choices and decisions. This theory has gained popularity in recent years as a way to encourage individuals to make healthier, more sustainable choices without relying on coercion or penalties. The concept of nudge theory is based on the idea that people are inherently prone to making certain cognitive biases and errors in judgment. These biases can lead us to make decisions that are not in our best interest, and that can have negative consequences for our health, wealth, and overall well-being. Nudge theory proposes that by making small, subtle changes to the environment, it is possible to "nudge" individuals towards making healthier, more sustainable choices.
