ACEEU is thrilled to share the successful completion of the NEXT DOOR project, "Fostering Neighborhood Participation to Protect and Care for Elderly Citizens." Over the span of 36 months, eight dedicated organizations in the elderly and social care sector collaborated to bring this innovative project to life.
The project not only met but exceeded its outlined objectives. It successfully navigated a complex program that integrated local actions with the creation of global tools for European dissemination. Key achievements of the project include the production of high-quality intellectual outputs, such as a comprehensive methodological framework, a digital tool with a user guide, an activity guide, and a transferable 'model' that incorporates all tools with a strategic transferability plan. Quality assurance, monitoring, and evaluation were conducted qualitatively, yielding useful and impactful results with real potential for transferability.
