The WATERLINE project, in collaboration with the library of Turku University of Applied Sciences (Turku UAS), hosted an exciting three-day webinar series on scholarly writing (September 24–26). This virtual seminar was crafted to inspire and empower young scholars, providing them with the tools to elevate their scientific writing and make a meaningful impact in the academic world.
The WATERLINE project hosted a two-day virtual seminar on scientific paper writing, organized in collaboration with Turku University of Applied Sciences and its library. This seminar was designed to build the capacity of young scholars in scientific writing, equipping them with essential tools to effectively communicate their research findings and contribute more meaningfully to the scientific community.
Participants had the opportunity to delve into various aspects of scholarly writing, including how to search for relevant information using advanced tools, such as AI, to streamline the process. Additionally, they explored important topics such as research and publishing ethics, as well as the principles of open access publishing.
The event was a valuable step in enhancing the writing skills of researchers and academics, positioning them for career advancements and increasing the impact of their research.
