The official project kick-off for Nutrition and WellBeing Fact Checking for HE (NutriWellB), an EU-funded project that aims at ensuring a healthy life, promoting healthy habits, within an emotional and psychic harmony, was held from the 6th and 7th of February 2023 at Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) in Madrid, Spain. All 6 partners of the project. They are:
UCM (leader): Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain),
UAH: Universidad de Alcalá (Spain),
Universidad Nova (Lisboa, Portugal),
ACEEU: Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities (Germany),
Centre for Knowledge Management (Skopje, Macedonia).
Each of them sent 2 of their representatives to attend the first face-to-face meeting of the project.
The 1,5 days meeting was scheduled to unpack the main components of the project starting from the administrative issues such as the financial aspects, communication, and coordination to the expectations of each of the main work packages (WPs) including brainstorming of ideas and initial planning of the activities.
Together with CFAT, ACEEU presented the last WP of the project which is “Implementation guide for Higher Education supported by a network of experts at the European level.” This WP is designed to raise awareness of the target audience and leverage fact-checking campaigns and contribute to making content accessible to everyone. ACEEU teamed up with CFAT to come up with strategic plans to communicate, disseminate and design effective campaigns and tools to promote healthy attitudes to the reality and use of digital media.
During the meeting, partners had the opportunity to address their questions and concerns regarding the implementation of the project activities. Although not every question could be resolved, partners were able to come home with some important notes and key takeaways that can be internally discussed. This meeting was an important event, as it allowed each partner to have a clear understanding of their own responsibilities in the project.
Overall, the NutriWellB kick-off meeting was a great success. The future looks bright for the NutriWellB project, and ACEEU looks forward to making impactful contribution and seeing the results in the near future.
