On September 23rd, the NutriWellB project launched its online course titled "Nutrition and Wellbeing Fact-Checking", as part of its piloting phase. This course, open until November 22nd, is designed to combat misinformation and equip young Europeans aged 18–30 (mainly young women) with essential skills in critical thinking, nutrition, and well-being. Participants from Germany, Italy, North Macedonia, Portugal, and Spain have been engaging with the course content.
The course is divided into three modules: Critical Digital Thinking and Fact Checking, Nutritional Health, and Wellbeing Habits. Each module offers a combination of written materials in PDF format, explanatory videos, and assessment tools to enhance learning. Participants begin each module with a self-evaluation questionnaire and conclude with a short assessment to consolidate their understanding. A final evaluation test at the end of the course ensures participants have acquired the core concepts and practical skills, enabling them to receive a certificate of completion equivalent to 1 ECTS.
So far, the course has attracted over 200 students who are completing the modules at their own pace. Participants also benefit from tutor support in their preferred language, making the course accessible and tailored to their needs. Feedback on the course’s design, usability, and relevance is being gathered through evaluation forms, providing insights for refining and improving the learning experience.
The NutriWellB team is excited about the progress made during the piloting phase and is keen to see how this course will empower young people to think critically, make informed decisions, and develop healthier habits. Stay tuned for updates as the course continues to shape the next generation of students!
