ACEEU together with the NutriWellB project partners are thrilled to announce the release of the "E-book on Nutrition and Well-Being Fact-Checking for Higher Education". The E-book is a result of collective efforts and teamwork between international teams, as well as input from experts in the fields of nutrition, psychology, health communication, and journalism.
The development of the E-Book was led by Complutense University of Madrid and supported by in esteemed partners i.e. Nova University of Lisbon, UAH, ACEEU, and Centre for Knowledge Management. This E-book is an excellent example of an educational resource to train and raise awareness of young people in media literacy and the fight against misinformation, especially related to nutrition, health and well-being.
The E-book offers a holistic approach to tackling the issues of misleading information and common misconceptions found online about nutrition and health that lack scientific backing. In addition, it also equips higher education students, professors, and stakeholders with tools to disprove fake news surrounding food habits, both in the mass media and online. It specifically focuses on dispelling stereotypes related to dietary habits, gender, and body image.
You can find the E-Book here, and if you want to stay updated on the project or learn more about it, you can visit the project's website here.
