The Université Savoie Mont Blanc (USMB) hosted the third Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) of the Bridges by Mentors project at their Chambéry campus from October 14th to 16th, 2024. The meeting provided an opportunity to reflect on the first half of the project and set the stage for the second half, particularly with the upcoming phase of mentoring activities next year.
A key highlight of the meeting was a workshop led by ACEEU, where the consortium participated in a SWOT analysis as part of the Quality Assurance process. This session allowed partners to further discuss the project's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats based on insights drawn from the assessment report of the project's first 18 months. The collaborative discussions helped refine the planning of the upcoming activities and provided ideas to further increase the project's impact.
A central focus of the meeting was on fostering collaborations with local stakeholders to amplify the impact of the mentoring programs. The partners engaged in lively brainstorming sessions to explore effective strategies for connecting international students with local communities. Ideas included cultural exchanges, storytelling sessions, and workshops aimed at promoting mutual understanding and social integration. These conversations were instrumental in shaping the approach for the upcoming semester, ensuring that the mentoring activities in the program will be well-structured, impactful, and aligned with the needs of both international students and local youth.
ACEEU looks forward to meeting our partners again in March 2025 in sunny Nicosia for the next phase of the Bridges by Mentors project.
