The Bridges by Mentors project achieved a key milestone with its Transnational Validation Workshop, aimed at refining two key outputs: the Service Delivery Manual and the Guidelines for Training International Students to Become Mentors. The workshop brought together 23 participants from the Netherlands, Germany, Cyprus, Bulgaria, France, and Belgium. ACEEU played a pivotal role by sending two of its quality assurance team to guide and evaluate the validation process.
The executive summaries of the Service Delivery Manual and Training Guidelines were presented during the workshop, highlighting areas where participants had previously provided feedback. Breakout group discussions followed, allowing smaller groups to dive deeper into the materials, share perspectives, and address specific questions. These discussions provided valuable feedback on the structure, content, and practicality of the documents.
The session concluded with a live poll and a wrap-up that summarized key takeaways and outlined the next steps for refining the documents. Participants expressed their appreciation for the interactive and collaborative nature of the workshop, noting the relevance of the materials to their work. The feedback gathered during this validation will be essential in finalizing the documents in the coming months.
The Bridges by Mentors partners look forward to incorporating the feedback received and moving closer to delivering comprehensive tools that will empower institutions and students to foster global engagement through mentoring.
