The second issue of the DECODE Sustainability project has been published! In this newsletter, you can find a summary of what the project has achieved so far in its second year.
Since the launch of the DECODE Deans Council back in November 2021, ACEEU and the rest of the DECODE project partners have been working on building relationships with the founding members of the Council and its governance structure. As the leader of the second main output of the project, DECODE Deans Council and its Platform, ACEEU has continued to the establishment of the Council by publishing a call for self-nominations from the full member of the Council to become its founding chair and vice-chairs. The call received positive feedback as a total of 4 self-nominations for Founding Chair and 5 for Founding Vice-Chairs were received. The Call was open until 31st March and the consortium will publish the final candidates in the near future to begin the election process.
Moreover, the project has also begun its third main output, DECODE Toolkit. Led by Riga Technical University (RTU), the project is now developing a collection of instruments and best practices to drive direct and indirect departmental contributions to sustainability through an entrepreneurial and engaged perspective. The innovative tools will be the breeding ground to share knowledge, develop expertise and collaboration to design strategic roadmaps towards SD institutionalization in faculties, schools or departments. The Toolkit is expected to be completed and disseminated in May 2022.
Stay tuned for more updates.
