ACEEU met the ComEnt consortium in Burgas (Bulgaria) to discuss the results of the research on the state of the art on innovative models of community enterprise development. Each partner shared unique insights about their case studies, in particular regarding the best practices and the main obstacles to founding a social enterprise.
In order to gain a first-hand experience and understanding of Bulgarian social enterprises, the hosting partner, Free University of Burgas, allowed the consortium to take part in a fully immersive experience on the discovery of the social enterprises in Burgas.
After this enriching experience, the ComEnt Consortium is ready to start defining the structure of the Course syllabus (and associated teaching / learning materials) that the partners will build in the upcoming months. The aim of this course is to generate a shared understanding among students, academia, the community and the voluntary sector on the knowledge, skills and competency requirements for empowering social entrepreneurs and promoting their enterprises.
Next stop, Rome: The ComEnt consortium will soon meet again to keep working on the course syllabus, stay tuned!
