The ComEnt consortium met for the third Transnational Project Meeting in the stunning Alpine region of Austria in Dornbirn. Markus Preissinger, the research director at the University of Applied Sciences Vorarlberg (FHV) welcomed the team at the University, following which the project partners visited a unique social enterprise endeavour called Fachl’s which is a cooperative where small regional producers can sell their products and customers can trade in “local” currency.
During the meeting at the FHV, the project team made progress towards the development of the curriculum “Certificate in Community Enterprise Development” with partners taking responsibility for modules of their expertise. Furthermore, the teaching, learning and assessments strategy as well as the recruitment of students for the accredited program were discussed in greater detail, clarifying the expectations of all partners.
The project meeting was enriched by a local visit to a community project “Gasthaus Taube” which was formerly an inn in a protected building from around 1800 in Andelsbuch. This inn was closed two decades ago and now through a community initiative two members are attempting to revive the place. A chef from the former inn cooked a regional speciality called Käskknöpfle for the consortium. This left a truly inspiring impact on the partners who are ready for the next steps ahead!
