WHAT IS THE COMMUNITY ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT COURSE?
The aim of this module is to provide learners with an introduction to the key concepts and models of community enterprise and to develop an understanding of the important role of multi-actor activism in responding to socio-economic and / or environmental challenges faced by marginalised groups or disadvantaged locations. A specific emphasis will be placed on understanding the key models of community enterprise and their application within Ireland and selected European countries.

The course will take place completely online and for free from the department of Applied Social Sciences from the Technical University of the Shannon, Midlands Midwest in Ireland. It has the prerequisite NQF level 08 and students can gain 10 ECTS credits for the same.
