The MYFuture (Mentor Your Future) project kicked off this week with a three-day online meeting involving partners from the Netherlands, France, Germany, Spain, Cyprus and Bulgaria.
The project aims to put in place a common HEI methodology for the development of student mentor programs. To achieve this goal, the project will provide a training module to allow dedicated students to hone transversal and civic engagement stills for their mentoring roles. It will also develop guidelines for HEI staff on how to design, implement and integrate student mentoring in regular university courses. Furthermore, the project will result in a comprehensive online platform that will serve both as an educational resource and a promotion tool for student mentoring. To increase public awareness of the benefits of student mentoring, the project partners will organise highly targeted Impact Days to reach out to students, educators and policy-makers.
