Three months have almost passed since 2022 began and the Mentor Your Future’s project partners have been busier than ever. Following the second Transnational Project Meeting held in Paris last November, partners have been focusing on the completion of the main outputs of the second and fourth Intellectual Outputs of the project, namely Trainers’ Guide on Student Mentoring in HEI and Impact Day Guideline.
With the support from the whole consortium, AFEV is currently developing the Trainers’ Guide which aims to provide a common methodology for European universities to include mentoring and role-modelling activities in their curricula. The guide will include clear and comprehensive chapters on:
- the theoretical foundation of student mentoring within HEI
- methodology to incorporate the development of soft skills in student mentoring activities
- definition of learning outcomes on soft skills and civic engagement
- methodology on how to integrate student mentoring in HEI academic units implementation schemes, and
- best practices and recommendations for successful student mentoring in HEI
At the same time, UNIC, also with the support from all partners, is completing a guideline created to support HEIs in organizing impact days, events designed to showcase the real impact of mentoring. The guideline will highlight the importance of Impact Days to promote student mentoring and cover the methodology of how to organize, execute and communicate the events.
ACEEU and MYFuture partners are thrilled with the progress and look forward to completing both useful and purposeful guides.
